Consejos para writings.

Today, we're going to give some advises to improve your writing skills, so it's easier for you to get a good mark in the composition part of the Selectivity exam.

1º.- Brainstorming

We need some ideas for the topic of our writing, so let's do some brainstorming, which is the action of thinking about a lot of ideas that we can use.

After finding some ideas that seem useful, write them down, so it can help you use that idea in your composition. Here we have an example of an idea and its organisation:

2º.- Dictionaries

Sometimes, we need to search for some words or expresions we don't know, and we search them in a dictionary. Well, dictionaries are usefull sometimes, but you can't rely on them always. You will have to do an exam where dictionaries are not allowed, so try to get as much vocabulary and expressions as you can, so you don't need to search anything.

3º.- Electronic traductors

These things are REALLY BAD! Try not to use them, they make bad translations and your teachers will definetly catch you if you use them. Avoid these allaways.

4º.- Make it simple

Remember, you only need a composition, not a novel or a poem. Do it simple, so you understand it. It ill help you a lot.

5º.- Pratice

Self explanatory, one composition isn't enough, you need to do lots of writings to become better.

6º.- Read

Read as much books as you can. It will give you vocabulary and expressions to use in your writings.

7º.- Adjectivs and conectors

Be aware while using those, they're very important, so use them in right way.

8º.- Structure

Each writing has its own structure. Try to follow it so it's easier for you to do a better composition.

9º.- Revision

After finishing your writing, look if you have made any mistakes while doing it and correct them.
